Outland Hatch Covers

Outland Hatch Covers:

Highly recommended! They take about 2 seconds to put on or off, they float, you get a spare, and a guarantee!
$39 each. They are half the price and twice the utility of canvass hatch covers.

Re: Outland Hatch Covers

I guess as you can see we are also a fan. The boat was pretty close to the eastern eye wall of hurricane Irma in Florida and no problems with the hatch covers in winds reportedly over 110 mph. We did however collect a variety of debris between the hatch covers and the hatches themselves!Click image for larger version

Re: Outland Hatch Covers

Yup, have several and like them, on my current boat and my last boat. Really lower the AC load.

I believe Boat Galley reported dropping a wrench from the masthead on one, where it saved the lens. I have one that I am prone to resting a secondary anchor on when I pull it out of the locker. They can take a licking.

You can unlock the twist thing by rotating a foot. One of mine is near the mast. But it never came off (there are 4 latches on those).

Re: Outland Hatch Covers

(passed my edit time limit)

I've had them on the PDQ for 5 years and they are still like new, enduring bird bombs and some foot traffic. So I added one to my F-24. I like that they are non-slip compared to a naked hatch lens or canvas cover.
