The Lagoon 57 can be had with dagger boards (mine was) which really changes the performace, add to that custom rigging, qulaity sails and the boat is very capable of hitting 18 to 20 knots if you keep her light.

Offer I could not refuse

Yes, a very special boat. I hope the couple buying her realize how fortunate they are!

I had no idea any Lagoon was ever made with dagger boards. Sounds like a sweet ride.

One of the early Lagoons,
back when performance was first priority on Multihulls.

I thought Gunboat was done. I just looked at the website and see that they have been resurrected. Where will yours be made?

https://www.gunboat.com/

Celebrating Two Great Years and Many More to Come

On June 12, 2018 Gunboat hosted a group of over 70 Gunboat owners, crews, and industry partners for a private event in Newport RI, celebrating milestones of success and disclosing company updates to the close-knit Gunboat community.

Just two years after Grand Large Yachting hosted a similar event to announce the acquisition of Gunboat, Gunboat Managing Partner Benoit Lebizay was proud to present the company’s strong, scalable plans and share details of the two Gunboat 68s currently in production in brand new facilities in La Grande Motte France.

Have they shut down production in China. North Carolina and was it Belgium (where the foiler was made)?

And Peter Johnstone is no longer associated?

Are we talking about a custom boat based on a lagoon 57 design perhaps ?
I have never seen or heard of a lagoon on dagger boards ...
The L57 is a very nice boat anyway, and certainly not a condomaran.

The boat was retrofitted with them before I purchased her, so it is not exactly factory config, nor is the mast or sail system.

Yes, sorry, I jumped to the wrong conclusion that the Lagoon was a Rolls-Royce and that you were changing to a Porsche.

I was interested to see what influenced your change but now I have had a look at a 57.
