Cool Looking to buy Antigua 37 Maestro version.

Good evening and Happy Thanksgiving! This is my first post here and I hope to receive a warm welcome.

I'm looking to buy a Fountaine Pajot Antigua 37. She is for sale by owner in Puerto Rico. The owner tells me it is a Maestro version. I can't find much info on the "Maestro" online. Supposedly it an owner's version with a heavier hull?

Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Looking to buy Antigua 37 Maestro version.

Good morning! I just register to the site looking for the same information about the FP Antigua 37 Maestro version! this is also my first post. Wh.at year you are looking at? Did you find any information regarding this model? I'm looking at 1993 located in the UK, sale price $120,000 pounds. How much is the sale price for the one in PR? Can you share a link to the boat to compare both? Thanks!

I just found this blog:
Difference between FP Fidji 39 and Antigua 37 - Multihulls4us Forums
which states a little bit of the mestro.

I think "Maestro" is just FP's name for their Owner's version.

To give you an idea on prices, "Meercat" sold late last year in very good condition for US$85,000. It was sold out of the Caribbean after arriving from Spain.

If this is the one you are looking at, I honestly think it's too expensive.

You'd probably be better off with a newer vessel like this one:

2000 Fountaine Pajot Athena 38 Sail Boat For Sale - www.yachtworld.com

Athena 38's are well within that price range and are much newer.

Re: Looking to buy Antigua 37 Maestro version.

I saw that one when browsing for my previous post. Engine hours are good and they have likely been replaced at some stage. At that age you'd really need to inspect it and see for yourself if it was in great condition or something to keep clear of, unless someone on here knows it well. The price seems pretty good if it is in good overall condition. Meerkat (above) at US$85k was a bit of an exception and did have a lot more engine hours.

Re: Looking to buy Antigua 37 Maestro version.

Bit late joining this discussion and this is my first post! Anyway, I have an old brochure for the Antigua 37. The Maestro version is the standard Antigua 37 with some extras. 18hp Yanmars instead of the standard 9hp's, extra fresh water capacity, pressurised hot/cold water and a few other extras. Good luck finding one! I have noticed that there is another one now for sale in the UK which says it is a Maestro. Check out Apollo Duck. Good luck!
