Looking for Mumby 48 owners or sources of information.

We recently bought a Mumby 48 and there are some questions I'd like to ask other owners about what they do or suggest. So I would love to contact someone who has practical knowledge of this model. Some things I am interested in are what autopilots really work, security hatches etc., weather protection methods, and maybe some insights into sailing it in ocean passages.

Congratulations, you have bought a fine boat. I did some research into the Mumby 48 years ago for a project that never happened. A super-strong, spacious cat that sails well.

Do a bit of Google searching for Mumby 48 Thailand/Phuket, there are at least 5 there, mostly Aussie-owned.

Hi Teleman,

I met a guy who owns 3 or 4 of them and charters them. Unfortunately chartering, and even sailing locally is a different kind of sailing/boat use. I think a fair number were built so I hope to run into some passing through on a circumnavigation.
