Things might have changed but I was under the impression that to use your cat in charter in Australia to meet survey it needed to have solid laminate under the waterline (same for mono hulls), if so Perrys and Seawinds bought for this market would have solid bottoms.

Could be anything, Australian survey compliance is a complicated mess. I know of a NSW government rescue boat built to survey in Western Australia that could not be used in NSW. Each state is very very different even down to what flares should be on board.
