Hard Top Bimini Fitted to Catamaran

We have just had a new GRP bimini manufactured and fitted in Lefkada and are delighted with the workmanship of all involved - GRP, stainless steel and canvas work.

It has transformed the catamaran and our cockpit area is a huge room.

We made enquiries about having this extensive work done during our trip from Scotland to Greece - well worth waiting for!

Hopefully you will be able to see the attached photos

Rivonia, it looks great and will certainly add to your comfort on cold and wet days.

Cheers!

I am sure it will be a huge improvement in not only durability, but also usable space in the cockpit (the canvass enclosure seems to have been cut off very short on the top). I also like the sliding overhead hatch - does it have a spray hood?

By the way, your Sunsrise looks to be in sensational shape - what year was she built?

Hi Brad

Thanks for the compliments - Shania was launched in 2000 in the UK and had two very careful owners before we bought her in Scotland late 2008. We had her completely fitted out for living aboard all year round eg solar panels, wind generator, watermaker + Garmin chartplotter etc.

There is no spray roof. The canvas is attached to a runner on the inside of the bimini and drops down to the deck. We have canvas covers for all windows and everything can be rolled up.

We feel that the new hard bimini and canvas work makes her look even younger!
