where can I find parts for Universal M18 diesel?

That's what I did here in Portugal for the John Deere in my old Van de Stadt..
In fact I do that for oil/fuel filters, belts and much more, always much cheaper than the 'Dedicated Ripoffs'.

Try calling Boatswain's Locker in Newport Beach, they supplied engines to Catalina and other boat builders in California. Part doesn't turn up on a search of their site but nothing ever does, call parts department. Every boatyard or chandlery in S. Cal gets their manufacturers engine parts from them.

A long trek and a series of telephone calls got me to supplier in Florida that had one - only one. Contacted Kubota supplier suggested by Kubota, he searched unsuccessfully, then went direct to Kubota while I was on hold to see if they have the part and was told there is one, and only one in stock at Kubota. I was told by TOAD that it is backordered with no delivery planned, told by another Universal parts supplier that they aren't in stock or available and I might have to have one fabricated.

The one I found was a part that was ordered years ago for a customer whose boat supposedly sank so he didn't pick it up and it has been sitting on a shelf for years. Gist of it is that it wasn't a simple Google search to find a supplier that could actually deliver one. Thanks for your advice.

By the way, the Universal M18 is a Kubota Model Z600 if that helps anybody else.

Congrats on locating the part. Did they have a gasket for you too?
