Stevens 47 - Done Deal!

Well, we've taken the plunge and now own a 1982 Stevens 47. Nicely equipped, and just waiting to go.

We're very excited and really looking forward to beginning the next chapter in our retirement years.....we'll be heading to the Caribbean and who knows where else very soon.

She's a beaut, and we're chompin at the bit to get started!

I recently visited the factory in China where they are now made ( same factory which makes Passport )

The design still works well

Yep - order only basis apparently
That's what they told me
They also showed some plans etc
But I think it has been stretched to 52'

Thanks to all for the positive comments. She is very well "endowed"
with in-boom furling, 100 hp turbo Yanmar with only 600 hrs., a 5kw generator with only 500 hrs., Spectra watermaker, Beth loves the electric heads, radar arch, dink davits and motor hoist....and a ton of other nice things.

I am a not a techno geek, computer geek, whiz kid by any means....pics right now are out of my realm....Beth and I both have sign in places on this laptop, and all the pics we took are on "her" side....so here's a link to the Yachtworld site.....

We had teamed up with Dave and Erin Townley of Integrity Yachts in Annapolis to represent us in our search. The two of them are astounding! Honest, full of experience and wisdom, very easy to work with....I highly recommend if anyone is searching for a broker to represent YOU...they are very, very good at what they do.

Ritch Riddle of Ross Yacht sales was very good on the sale side of the deal, easy to work with, experienced and friendly, and Bob Kriegel did a wonderful job on the survey.

The sellers are stand up folks, made all the little things right that showed up in the survey, and went out of their way to make sure the boat was the way they would want to receive it if they were buying. A very comfortable, healthy experience. Could not have been better in my opinion.

When I can figure out how to post some of the pics, I'll make sure I do so!
