Seeking info on “Cape Vickers 41”

Good day all,

I’ve recently bought and started fixing up a Cape Vickers 41 in South Africa. She was built in 1988 in Joburg and designed by Angelo Lovranos.

She is a beautiful yacht that just needs some tlc to get her back to her shining state. There is however not much information around these yachts. I’ve seen a few for sale in the past and know of a YouTube channel where a couple from Cape Town is travelling the world in one, but apart from that there is not much around.

I want to reach out and see if anyone with more information can add to this forum for myself and future people seeking info on these yachts. I’d love to know how many have been produced and what is the feeling from those that have sailed them.

South African couple that's currently circumnavigating in a Cape Vickers 41, you might get some information you need from them. They left Cape Town and currently are somewhere around the Netherlands Antilles, I believe.

Update: It looks like they made it through the Panama Canal and into the Pacific.
