Lagoon 420 Seeking Crew for Fort Laud to Cape Charles, VA

Hi all,

I'm returning my well equipped Lagoon 420 from Fort Lauderdale to Cape Charles, VA. I'd like to find at least one and/or two capable sailors to assist.

Crew must be able bodied and crew friendly. I'll cover food and fuel, if someone needs help with transportation, let's talk about it.

I'll be leaving from FLL in early May, the trip should take 5 to 10 days, depending on weather.

Please send CV if you have one or brief statement of experience. I've got 4 years and 12,000 nms on this vessel.

Cheers,

Rob

Hi Rob, I'm a 63 year old retired firefighter/paramedic with quite a bit of delivery experience including ten trans-Atlantics, have sailed throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean, and may trips north and south along the US east coast. Knowledgeable in navigation, daily maintenance, cruise prep, provisioning, and can even cook a bit. I've all my own gear including GPS and PLB. CV and references available on request

Hi Rob I would love to join the crew and help out .. however my sailing knowledge is limited and only equates to helping my brother with the ownership and maintenance of a 25 foot Bayfield and day cruises on the Potomac. My schedule is flexible as of now and I carry a positive attitude, and desire to learn more as one day hope to embark on bigger personal sailing endeavors of my own. Please reach out sorosh89@gmail.com ..tired of watching these new age sailing Vlogs on.

Re: Lagoon 420 Seeking Crew for Fort Laud to Cape Charles, VA

Hello,
I live in Hollywood, FL. Have sailed for many years and have taken the captain's license course, 6-pac and 100 ton, and passed the test. Currently have a Silverton 29. Previously had an Endeavor 42 which I sailed from Miami to Maine and back. Also crewed on a 42 ft. Catamaran from Key West to Fort Lauderdale. Other cruising in the Caribbean and Bahamas mostly on a 27' Aloha.
Would be interested in helping you to VA. Would need to work out transportation back to Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale airport. Can contact me at bcalore@yahoo.com
Clean and organized and look forward to hearing from you. Bill

You pm'd me a week ago and I said need some advance warning on date of trip.
I have already cleared time off for sometime in May. Ride the stream for a quick trip. Only really shallow spot in ICW was at Fernandina Beach back in January. We serpentine'd all over channel and only found 5 feet at high tide.
