Merc 9.9 Water Pumping at low idle?

Hi,
My mercury 9.9 has a very low idle (which is great) but there is little or no water being discharged from the cooling system outlet. Is this normal or not? I'm assuming its normal but wanted to make sure in case I'm burning up my motor and/or water pump.

When was the last time you replaced the water pump impeller?

Get the Merc fresh water flush attachment (or a generic one) and blow lots of fresh water through it to clean out salt and debris. Works like a charm.

Are you talking about the little pee hole? Sometimes they need a little cleaning with a toothpick or paper clip.

I'll try all that but think impeller could use changing. THX!
