Iím sure the same requirements stand for the COI. Itís probably a good idea to start contacting the CG officer now before you get in too deep.
They will tell you if the boat needs new safety gear
or a complete tear down because it doesnít meet regs.
It may not be economically feasible to convert it for charter in the USA. Thatís the place to start so you donít make an expensive mistake. The MARAD waiver is the least of the issues actually.
