First time

. While we already have a sailboat, my son and I are looking for a
winter project. There's a
cape dory typhoon that seems like a good deal. (I know enough to know that no
boat is a "deal"). The
boat has lived in freshwater, and has been in a
storage shed for a few years. Needs cosmetic
work for sure. I have not seen the boat in person, it is 3 hours away.
Before I do that I'd like to know if anyone knows whether a typhoon could be set up where one could use a crane to
lift it using eyebolts, say, on
keel bolts or some other fixture strong enough to support 2000+ lbs? Our marina has 5k and 10k lb cranes for lifting sailboats much larger than this one. I just don't know if the typhoon lends itself to creating this type of system (that won't fail!). basically, if I were to do the crazy thing and buy this boat, I'd prefer to keep it
on the hard and drop it in the
water. Cheaper
storage than a slip fee. Thanks for any input
