Eventide 28ft

Good day,

Where can I find more info on the Eventide 28 ft mono hulls ? (I assume the 28ft is a modified 26 ft Eventide ...)

I am interested in a low-budget weekend / coastal cruiser for my family and myself (Wife and two kids age 7 and 9).

There is an Eventide in the market at the moment. I assume it is a Marine ply built boat.

Would the Eventide be a safe option? Also, is marine ply a huge no-no? (I know resale value is not great, but I am more concerned about safety...) Is the Eventide an ok hull for coastal work? I know the boat is slow, I don't intend to race with it, I prefer to cruise ...

We would mainly sail in False bay, South Africa - so it is quite windy. I would also like to do some extended week trips (coastal - going to Cape town, Dassen eiland, etc).

Your suggestions and opinions will be greatly appreciated,
Jaco

Re: Eventide 28ft

You should ask the Eventide owners association. Maurice Griffith was one heck of a designer. The Eventide is not one of his prettiest designs but she would be capable of coastal cruising.
