Sanssouci,

I like the look of the 12000CT. What are the pro's and con's? Are there issues with osmosis? Is the deck teak over fibreglass? Thanks

Kevin

Hello Kevin, Yes the 12000CT is a very pleasing boat.
Pros and Cons: I don't know of any Cons. The boat is fiberglass with teak decks. ( see Specifications)
Note: SHE SELLS SELL HERSELVE!

I own Archangele, a 1981, 46' Dufour 12000CT pilothouse ketch, hull #46.

This particular boat was extensively re-built by her previous owner and has a beautiful interior unlike any other you may have seen.

I bought her in Dutch St. Maarten in 1994 and sailed her back to Galveston, Texas - 18 wonderful days at sea. In 2003, I sailed her across the Gulf of Mexico, a 4 1/2 day trip, to Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico where she stayed for several months before returning to her berth here at Seabrook Shipyard in Seabrook, Texas on Galveston Bay.

Regretfully, she is for sale after 16 years of service. She is a fine boat and I hate to part with her, but she deserves someone who has the time to give her the attention she needs.

There are lots of small items that need repair. I have been suffering from health problems and have, by necessity, neglected needed maintenance. Major items however are in working condition.

She survived hurricane Ike with only minor cosmetic damage, but because of this, I have reduced my bottom line asking price, as is, to $79,000.00 USD net to me after all closing costs and any other expenses.

I own Sans Souci, a 1982, 46' Dufour 12000CT pilothouse ketch, hull #47.

I am the original and only owner. She has sailed the Atlantic and Pacific waters extensively.

Regretfully, she is for sale after 28 years of service. She is a fine boat and I hate to part with her, but she deserves someone who has the time to give her the attention she needs.

There are lots of small items that need repair. I have been suffering from health problems and have, by necessity, neglected needed maintenance. Major items however are in working condition.

She survived a number of hurricanes and ice with only minor cosmetic damage, but because of this, I have reduced my bottom line asking price, as is, to $??,???USD net to me after all closing costs and any other expenses.

I would like to find someone to take care and maintain her.

Let me know if I can help you in any way with your sell.
