CSY 44 sailboat information?

I have a 36 foot creekmore and looking for a larger vessel...can anyone tell me about the 44 foot csy? thanks john

First of all, do some searching on this board using CSY as the key word. Plenty of threads should pop up.

Also there is a mailing list called CSY@topica.com
Sign up for it and search the archives. More CSY info there than ya can shake a stick at.

In a nutshell, the CSY boats are getting old, they are well built and they sail well, especially in strong winds. They are not built for lake sailing or around the buoys, racing O'days and Farrs week-end afternoons, leave that to the fin and thin keeled wannabe racers with big sails and fast owners.

The CSY 44 is one of the most solidly built boats around. The hull has enough glass to build two Out Island 41s. Also the boat is all glass, no plywood, balsa or any other type of core so no failure mode there.

Great liveaboard, huge tankage, giant aft cabin.

Not the fastest boat in the fleet and doesn't point that well but then you aren't buying a CSY for speed.

The walkthrough version has a really nice light oak interior.
