Cheoy Lee and Westerly.....

We are looking for a bigger boat and had a look at a 36ft Westerly today and a 40ft Midmanship Cheoy Lee. Both centre cockpit ketches.
Very old boats but in good condition.
I like the space in the Cheoy Lee and I like old boats anyway.
The Westerly was in better condition technically .
My wife thinks a 36ft is more sensible ( docking etc) but I'm not to worried about the 40ft CL. It has a 13ft beam but I thought being centre cockpit docking should be easier anyway.
Please share your thoughts we are still learning.
