Is 'this' a Sign ?

Hello,
In the ongoing quest for "the" boat I asked my father to take a look at a Maple Leaf that was relatively close to where he lives.

The day was very rainy and it took him about 2 hours to get to the marina with the windshield wipers going full blast. As he got out of his car in the parking lot the rain tapered off. Stepping out of the brokers office the clouds parted and a huge brilliant double rainbow appeared. The boat I had asked him to look at was at the end of the dock perfectly framed by the two rainbows.
He says there may have been a choir of hevenly host singing as well but he left his hearing aid at home and he doesn't hear well in the upper frequencies.

So, you found another Maple Leaf? Congrats. Hope this is the one. Sounds like it might be.

I was thinking in a separate thread about what people thought of Maple Leaf in general and both the 48 and 56 in specific. I did a search through the forums and there was a discussion about modifying the rudder on the 42. One chap said the 48 was the most uncomfortable boat he had ever been on while another said it was fine. From a kick the tires standpoint they seem well built. The joinery seems good but there is no way from looking to know how they are going to perform in rough weather.
Any thoughts? Should this be posted as a separate thread?
thanks all sk

Re: Is this a sign

I've had our 42' Maple Leaf in 15' seas on the Columbia River bar (not fun), the boat did fantastic compared to my crew! We LOVE our Maple Leaf 42...we're in Panama City Panama sitting comfortably with 6, 350 sea miles under our keel and more to come.
