My wife and I are looking for our first true
cruising sailboat. We have sailed our entire lives, just not extensive cruising. The plan is to retire and do extensive coastal cruising (Bahamas, east coast). We love the toughness of the IP 420, the
full keel,
keel stepped
mast, and the
engine access. The
Catalina Morgan 440 has excellent
storage, a great
deck salon feel. My concern is
engine access on the
Catalina Morgan 440. From the video it looks like engine access is in the floor, with very limited access to the sides of the engine. Looks like it would be difficult to
work on the engine. Can anyone who has experience on the Catalina Morgan 440 tell me if I am right or wrong about the engine access?
Thanks!
