Boat valuation database?

"Our" surveyor (several sailboats recently) is currently mid-Atlantic and out of comms. His surveys (and pre-surveys) were accompanied with historical Asking/Achieved prices of the boat he was asked to survey, usually over the previous 10 years.

I realise that info has limited usefulness (trade sales only, for example, engine details, toys installed), but we need that data for a 1986 sloop we're interested in. Current asking prices are elusive, as the boat is relatively scarce.

Is there a database one can access for a fee? Even via a "friendly" surveyor?

I guess I mean soldboats.com which seems to have been incorporated into YachtWorld.

Any chance of requesting access?

If it is a very rare boat they may not have data though.

Re: Boat valuation database?

If the boat is with a broker as for comparable closed sales from Yachtworld. I have had brokers offer me this information even without asking.

Some surveyors also subscribe to this database.

Re: Boat valuation database?

Many thanks for the replies.

bukvalu.com doesn't appear to cover boats outside the US/Canada.

jdpower.com didn't recognise Finland's Siltala as a manufacturer; Nauticats aren't that rare?

We've never had info from a broker, but a couple of surveyors have been seriously helpful; I assume they need the info for a reasonably accurate valuation?

I'm not sure how useful the asking/sold info is, as a boat's value (at least in the eyes of the seller) can be plus/minus £$10-20k depending on toys such as watermakers/aircon/Starlink etc.
