Re: What is this?

It looks a lot like a Skye 51. The Kaufmann and Ladd design was built by a number of different builders so it’s very difficult to say who the builder was just by this one photo. Good luck on your search.

I love boats and boat porn and always enjoy these sleuthing puzzles.
It doesn't look like a Skye to me. The deck saloon layout looks like an Amel, but the deckhouse windows are very different. The forward saloon windows remind me of Moody. The centre cockpit between two deckhouses Amel. But overall it looks like a custom. Quest is the boat name?

Re: What is this?

I just noticed I could zoom in and can see the cove stripe which looks to me like a C&C cove stripe. And here is a picture of a C&C 61 ketch. Looks similar to me.

Re: What is this?

Can't see detail in that pic, even the transom, if I saw that in Australia I would guess a Joe Adams 48 designed in the 80's and likely built in round bilge steel, but in CA?

Seconded. The cove stripe immediately screamed "C&C" to me.

Re: What is this?

Sailboat Data has the C&C 61 but it doesn't look like that. Has a very lowe cabin structure fore and aft, not as high.
Or maybe they made some different decks on the 61....

Yeah, I saw the same. I'm not sure it's a 61, but almost definitely a C&C and likely somewhere in that size range. They did some custom-ish stuff, so it might be a one-off.

Re: What is this?

The second pic is listed for sale as a C&C 61. I saw sailboat data and the plan is different but I think the two boats are actually the same boat sold and renamed as Quest. It's definitely a C&C and most likely a one off ketch 61. @rbrazil when did you take the picture?
