Re: Bestevaer 49ST

In contrast to very streamlined timber and stainless steel work, we have a traditional white Dutch beamed ceiling. I prefer an eclectic mix like this in furnishings. Hopefully it will also date less quickly.

This is the ceiling in the owners' cabin. The walls and hull linings are also white throughout the boat with the exception of the head of the bed, which is solid Bubinga. I thought the contrast would be good here and it would provide a more durable finish when used as a backrest while sitting in bed. This will be a prime spot for coffee in the morning and movies in the evening, so it will function as an alternative living zone. The foot of the bed has a curved overhang minicking the style of the galley bench overhang. The wide timber trim has yet to be added, as well as a stainless steel handrail above it. Under the green plastic wrapping the mast support is anodised aluminium:

Well, I wasn't intending to...
but you perhaps...

More a case that over the CF years, it would seem that the Lassie has a fondness of classical food and to my simple mind, any pizza that isn't classical, has anchovies so the post was more a test of my theory of the Lassie's appetite.

I note she hasn't deigned me with a response

FWIW, I only enjoy two types of pizza, margaritas and those with anchovies

Still laughing here .

Now let me focus. What was the question?
Ah, pizza toppings.
Well Margherita with Buffalo mozzarella and rich tomato sauce that has been simmered for hours and just a few basil leaves scattered on top is a favourite here too . The simplest things done well are often the most sublime.

I also have a soft spot for olives and garlic and sundried tomato and capers with anchovies on pizza. Or proscuitto and pineapple. Or prawns.
Maybe I just like anything on pizza .

Topical as I just made pizzas

And if anyone is interested, capsicum, mushroom, olives, prosciutto, garlic, fresh tomato, anchovies and rat trap cheese - as this was all there was in the larder!

And oh, yes it is but not

The boat exterior will certainly be bristling with soft shackles .

When it comes to fancy work, I am a novice (apart from learning to tie a Turk's head a couple of years ago). I started making a beautiful knife lanyard from Brion Toss's book last night, but the furthest I got was only just past the point he said to take the phone off the hook and close the door. He should have added "turn the latest movie off" and "skip making coffee and reaching for chocolate" . Or is it just that a bad workman always blames his distractions?

Those are inset doors. The face frame vs frameless are for only..... the frame.

I like the look of the face frame style and it may add some strength, but it also interferes slightly with access and may reduce the drawer size slightly.
