Aft Hatch for Morgan Out Island 41

Am looking for a replacement hatch. If anyone out there has done this, where did you find the best-value deal? Thanks for your help.

Greetings - I have replaced both the fwd/aft hatches (previously plexiglass) with reinforced fiberglass - easy day. The aft was around $200 cash - I had the plexiglass hatch which was used as a mold - took a few days for a friend to do it - it was done by Willi @ Tiki Watersports in Tavernier,FL (The Keys). I can help you out if need be by letting Willi use my old hatch (for the mold) and he can make one for you (pre paid of course).

Does anyone know the hatch size for the aft (Captains Quarters) hatch? Mine cracked while opening it when we were last on the boat and I'm now trying to order a new one but I don't remember the measurements and I'm 14 hours away.

You won't be able to order a replacement. The aft overhead hatch is a custom molded item. If you have to replace it you either have to make your own, pay someone to mold it for you or do some surgery to convert to a conventional hatch.

I got a quote of $1500 for a molded hatch. Just built my own using a 24 x 24 piece of 3/8" plexi and a frame.
