Re: Delivery Skipper...

Valid Covid Passport? I thought you were not going to get vaccinated because of your robust immune system? Imho, though, a good choice. Practical and considerate of others.

Actually I did say a few months back that I would be opting for the AstraZeneca shot much to the Pfizer advocator's horror..
Guess you missed it.
It was either work to pay my way.. or see if Covid could do what salt, sugar, spicy foods, alcohol and nicotine have failed to achieve so far.. still enjoying the last 5 but need the bucks to pay for em..

Ann... Just in case you believed GordMay's accusation that I am a lying A-hole which he posted a few weeks back here is a post from March this year... to confirm a statement I had made a couple of months earlier in Dec when the jabs were first approved in the UK.
People with foresight (me included) could see what was coming re travel restrictions and were already making decisions based on that.

Don't be daft.. and just thinking that puts you at the same level as those that do to my mind..
I just preferred the the more traditional method and the morally responsible position/action of Oxford/AstraZeneca.. producing and distributing a non profit at cost vaccine for the benefit of all.
And.. being a Brit I went British..
I know.. I know.. that's not the American way..

I've never heard of Phizer.

Are they a Pfizer knock-off, low budget alternative?

She isn't really but it sounds good...
AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine shows effectiveness against Delta variant 16 Jun 2021 (Last Updated June 16th, 2021 11:18) The vaccine shows 92% and 86% efficiency against hospitalisation in Delta and Alpha variant cases, respectively. The AstraZeneca vaccine is developed by the University of Oxford and Vaccitech

Pfizer and BioNTech’s Covid-19 vaccine is just 39% effective in Israel where the delta variant is the dominant strain, according to a new report from the country’s Health Ministry. (FRI, JUL 23 20211:23 PM)
The two-dose vaccine still works very well in preventing people from getting seriously sick, demonstrating 88% effectiveness against hospitalization and 91% effectiveness against severe illness, according to the Israeli data
