Last minute looking for help from Charleston to south Florida before crossing over.
Boat is a sabre 28. Food and drink provided.

Hi, when are you planning to leave? Is your profile accurate "Haven't seen it yet"? Have you had any splash day cruises with the apparently new-to-you boat? I have done a couple of offshore coastal cruises, and I have done many single-hand bareboat chartering. I am not sure if you are intending to sail outside or inside? How much time are you allocating from Charleston to South Fl?

I've been working on the boat for the last few weeks. It is lying in Georgetown at the moment. About to leave for Charleston on the inside due to weather. Probably head outside at port royal sound.
With good weather and crew the outside portion would be 3 days.
The boat is in pretty good shape for the trip. Put another way she has stopped giving me excuses not to cut the dock lines.

I've been on a number of cruises on old boats with new owners. Almost everyone of those boats experienced a significant casualty on the first day out. I highly recommend a day or two of shakedown cruises. Don't forget your compass light.

I agree about the shake down cruises, but i`'ve never done a cruise that didn't have something break.
The last delivery I did the autopilot and ais packed it in. Switching GPS sources didn't fix it.....
