Is anyone here planning or wishing to sail eastwards now in June, from Western to Eastern
Malaysia through the Anambas?
We are a couple on a
motoryacht, planning to make the crossing during the next few weeks.
It is the first time we are heading that way... and we don't normally go so far from shore, so it would be great to do this together with one or more other
boats.
Another option could perhaps be to get a guest or crew
member on board who is knowledgeable about the area, or otherwise experienced.
We are on a 48 foot yacht, berthed in
Singapore right now. The plan is to go to Tioman and from there to Jemaja, Siantan / Tarempa, Natunas, and Kuching.... However, other routes are certainly possible. I understand we are just a bit too late to join the rally going the same way.
Later we will continue to Miri and Kota Kinabalu.
The
boat is fast, but in order to conserve
fuel and enjoy the Anambas, we are planning to move slowly :-)
Feel free to make contact if you are going that way, or would like to go that way, or otherwise have suggestions.
