Worthy movie suggs

I recently saw some folks on one of the threads, dissing a R Redford sailing related movie (forgot the title) as well as other similar and not so good movies (Dead Calm starring N Kidman) and that got me to asking.... are there actually any good sailing films out there in circulation? After all, there’s a bit of time to kill since I can’t go and prep my boat for the upcoming summer season.....
Thx

Consider the documentary Following Seas. The story of Bob and Nancy Griffith...sort of a time capsule to earlier days of cruising...much old 8mm footage...including being shipwrecked. They don't make people like them anymore.
Available on Amazon Prime (FWIW).

1992 Wind with Mathew Modine has some of the best sailing I've seen from a Hollywood film.

Waterworld, now that is how you sail a trimaran and beat off jet skis.

Except the collision. A port-starboard like that would NEVER happen in an America's Cup race (but it makes for a lively press conference and a big moment-of-truth)!

Two new sailing films are out:
"Styx" (2018) follows a young woman out of Gibraltar who is trying to sail to Ascension island. Really well shot and some good sailing scenes. Recommend.

"The Boat" (2019) a dude encounters a Beneteau at sea, boards the boat, and gets trapped on board. Supposed to be a thriller/scary movie. Haven't seen this one, looks a little out there.
