Recommend me some ripping yarns about sailors crossing the Atlantic Ocean or similar

Yes, I can browse Amazon, but I would like to hear what YOU recommend.

For example ... Overboard!: A True Blue-water Odyssey of Disaster and Survival

The Nagel Journal: https://www.amazon.com/Nagle-Journal.../dp/1555842232
More than just the Atlantic. Among other things, Jacob Nagel is in the jollyboat rowing around Sydney harbor to decide where the city should be built.

You can't have this list without Joshua Slocum's "Sailing alone around the world" or Robert Dana's "2 years before the mast "

Re: Recommend me some ripping yarns about sailors crossing the Atlantic Ocean or simi

Maybe not so ripping but my wife wrote a blog on a 2015-2017 trip from Maine to Britain, through the Baltic to St. Petersburg and returning via Iceland and Greenland.

Passagebeneteau40.Wordpress.com

It’s an old fashioned blog where you have to scroll to the bottom and read up. Fairly long.

Yep, currently 1/5 of the way through Kretschmer's book. He is quite a talented writer.

Beneath the Heart of the Sea- true story that is the basis for Mobey Dick

The Wager, good ship wreck story

South, by Sir Ernest Shackleton

Log of the vessel Bounty- after the murtiny.

Second two include details of two of the greatest open ocean passages ever. I used to try to get new supervisors to read them. They also display the effects of each man’s management style.
