Navigating ICW

Can any one tell me how to navigate the ICW Norfolk to St. Augustine Fl.
in Dec. with 6ft. draft and ICW mast, 50ft. boat. I'm mostly concerned
with tidal depth issues in Carolinas/Ga etc. Any experience or knowledge
would be helpful.

You will not have much problems till you hit the small canal in ga leading to jeckyle island You will need a decent tide a Few spots in SC can b thin a low tide Many boats ;lke your go with no issue Pat attention to the markers

Re: Navigating ICW

In a few spots, you will need good timing for the water you need vs. when bridges open. A few bridges don't open during morning rush hour and that may be when you have best depth to pass.

If you have a good weather window, consider going outside from St. Simon to St. Mary's inlet and/or St. Mary's to St. Augustine. Hope you have a cockpit enclosure. It can get cold that time of year. We did it a two weeks ago and had a few very cold days.
