Maiden voyage: C&C 31.5 Lake Michigan

Greetings to all,
This is my first post! Hope you all are enjoying your week so far. My father and I plan to sail the C&C from Northport Marina into Chicago early/mid May. Has anyone made that voyage before?

I've gone the other way.

That's pretty early season on the northern part of the lake. If you are going to need fuel, make sure where you can get it.

It will be cold, and it will probably be foggy on northern Lk Michigan. The fog can and does appear at seemingly random times.

It can be a great trip!
