When we needed a life raft we went to the boat show">Annapolis boat show where we could visit the manufacturers and ask questions. We were able to compare several models and make our decision. As a plus, most companies offer a nice discount if you buy at the show.

If you can't wait until next year for the Annapolis show, perhaps there is another show coming up that you can attend.

We did the research and concluded when the time comes we will replace our Winslow offshore 6 person raft with a Viking RescYou Pro.

I purchased and service mine at Life Raft and Survival Equipment in Rhode Island. In the northeast you can drop off your raft at a West Marine and other locations for them to pickup- service-then return

Think about where you will be when you need to have it repacked and inspected. Check prices on this. We've ended up having to pay close to 50% of the purchase price on a repack. Different brands seem to have pretty different repack pricing and the difference between countries is high too.

Do they (Vane Brothers) have a show room..seems their Baltimore location is at major marine terminal..what my wife calls.."a working mans store.."
