Is there a way to do this?

Is there a way to get a boat on Lake Ontario, Canada to the east coast without going up and around Nova Scotia? Please, do not route me over Niagra Falls smart guys...smile. Are there not locks, canals, or rivers to get me to the east coast without the arduous NNE trip up the Lawrence?

And aside from knowing what they are, knowing when to use them (if at all) can be an obstacle.

Re: Is there a way to do this?

Uh... Niagara flows south to north so you would go up the falls, not over. Better Google the Erie Canal,. Or sail south down Lake Champlain. Better get going as they take the winter off.
