Condensation under mattress

Nice warm Sydney Oz summer. I built a new bunk up forward directly under the forward hatch which was kept open. After a week the bunk board was awash.


Drilled 2 rows of 2" holes in the bunk board. From as far south as Hobart to with in a few miles of the equator it never happened again.

Additionally, if the surface is cold enough to cause condensation, and you are living a board in a cold place, you should want to insulated it. Kinda obvious.
