Carbon Boat Lifespan

I tried searching the forum for this but was unsuccessful.

I'm curious about the lifespan/longevity of a carbon fibre (reinforced) boats.

We've been drooling over some performance catamarans and I have had a very difficult time tracking down lifespan info.

Let's assume a solid naval architect designed it and a good yard built it.

Some of the carbon race boats have been around quite some time, right? We should be getting to the point where we have somewhat older carbon project boats still on the water.

Thoughts?
