Trinidad & Tobago Shipwreck/Oil Soill

A capsized shipwreck, the “Gulfstream”, has washed up, at a beach, around 200 metres off the coast of the Cove Eco Industrial Park, on the south west coast of Tobago, and caused a massive oil spill.
The vessel ran aground at around 7am local time, on Wednesday.
Several coastal regions have been affected by the, 15 km long, oil spill, including Kilgwyn Bay, Canoe Bay, Petit Trou Lagoon, Rockly Bay and Topaz Beach.
When the ship was spotted, it was sailing under an unidentifiable flag, and did not emit any distress signals. According to the Emergencies Ministry, the crew has not been found.
