NO.

But folks have treked to Key Vaca where the city of Marathon is located.

Re: Cruising from Melbourne Florida to marathon key

I came from Marathon to Cape Canaveral at the end of April I went hawk channel to North of Key Largo then went in sailed up Biscayne Bay and then rest of the way up the icw. Debated going back outside at Government Cut but wind was blowing like 25 knots and waves were 4-6. My Bristol 24 would have probably been fine but her Captain not so much.

Lots of Bridges south of Ft Pierce. Really a pain if you can go outside it would avoid that but think you would have to hug the coast pretty tight once you get south of wpb because of the stream.

The trip took me 7 days my best day was 74 miles, shortest was 38 miles. It is pretty easy straight forward trip other than the stretch between wpb and Biscayne Bay. In that area you have to deal with the bridges and the boa t traffic, Especially weekends. Also if you are anchoring out you will have to plan pretty well to hit spots south of Lake Worth. What i did is start looking around 4 in the afternoon, because i didnt want to be stuck in the dark looking for a place i was unfamiliar with and the icw gets real narrow and from looking at the chart it was hard to feel sure about a place, but it really isnt that hard to find a spot. I am making the trip back to Marathon BKH at beginning of August, it is really a great place to stop / anchor

Thank you for your response, very useful information. I'm actually heading down on a motor boat. Hopefully do it in two days. Thanks for the advice on the bridges.
