Solomons used to be a great place to provision. Unfortunately, Woodburn's is no longer in business. However, there is a Food Lion that's 1.5 miles from Calvert Marina. There is probably a closer place that you could land a dinghy if you look around.

There is still a West Marine that's close, though. Often useful on a long cruise.

I am so grateful to all of you for taking time to respond. It is wonderful to have this information. I plan on consulting this series of posts as we head out.

Those of you that offered email or other assistance are especially kind. The closer we get to leaving, I may take you up them.

I tendered my resignation from work effective 8/15. The boat is on the hard for a few last issues.
