Turkey boat numbers

We haven’t been out to Europe from NZ for 2.5 years due to covid and we are shocked at the massive increase of boats and particularly charter boats in Ionian Greece. Is Turkey going the same way or is it still easy to get a relatively easy anchorage. Also someone tried to tell us the president was closing down the wee tavernas in the bays. Is this happening. We haven’t sailed in Turkey since 2016. What changes and will we be disappointed
