Think I'll put more faith in the passport stamp of a 3rd world country and a marina bill for the boat being accepted above the word of a random local harbour master when it comes to renewing my 18mth VAT clock.
I have never produced or been asked for a boats log anywhere in the world but always for my passport.
But each to their own..

The OP wants to know were he could go to reset the VAT clock other than Tunisia. Two possible answers are: 1. into international waters and back to his port of departure. 2. Any other port, EU or otherwise where he must go through international waters to get there.


2 would offer an opportunity to obtain some 3rd party evidence.
