one definetly notices the exponential costs of marina's in the med and availability of berths, owning yachts ,under10 meters being one and under 20 meters another!

look forward to you posting in the $500 month thread,though having chartered out of ville franch for a few years,i cant seem to find any where left to anchor these days that isn't taken up by moorings there any more!

Plenty of bays very few mooring buoys along the coted azure, true most the anchorages are quite exposed, but you can still happily anchor in the rade de villefranch for free even though the swimming buoys have you further out. Can also anchor off St.jean or paloma beach. Etc. many boats also anchor off Antibes too.

definitely a lot to be said for crusing in an 8 meter boat in that part of the world,and yes lots of places to anchor for a small boat and seek refuge.
