Does anyone have any insight into bare boat chartering in Cyprus. Are all the boats that are available advertised on the Web, or is there an informal network of potential charters? Thanks!

I do not want to discourage you but Cyprus is not a best area for charter sailing. Almost no bays for anchoring and few marinas/harbours.
Heavy bureaucracy when entering and leaving on each marina visit.
On the other hand - beautiful island, great food and very nice people.
We have sailed over many times, put the boat in a marina and toured by car.

I've just sailed the Northern Cyprus. Beutiful marina in Karpaz and and ssmall port in Girne. As Meirreiba said, there isn't much place to go. Forget sailing from North Cyprus (Turkish) to South or Greece or vicea versa from southern part to Turkey or northern Cyprus. It's complicated and buraucratic..
As far as I know there is no charter company on Northern Cyprus neither in the South. If you can find one and can sail to Lebanon and Israel, it might be worthed.

I live in Cyprus and there are charter companies in the south for sure, I have done RYA courses with them and they charter sail and motor boats. True North Yatching Limassol. They are very helpful and can give you good advice. Ask for Demos. Good luck Rob
