Boat storage in Greece?

I'm considering purchasing an ex-charter boat this year. It will be available in September 2020. Unfortuately I cannot take off sailing till May 2021. Where should I store the boat on the hard. I'd like somewhere safe, but not too expensive.

It will be US flagged and registered in Delaware. VAT likely wont be paid upon purchase. Because I still work (in the US), I will only have a max of 2 weeks to sail/motor the boat anywhere you suggest, so I cant go too far.
Thanks everyone.

Any of the 3 yards in Preveza are good. My boat is in Cleopatra Marina right now and I really like that place.

Re: Boat storage in Greece?

There are numerous good quality yards throughout Greece bothe Eastin the Ionian and west in the Agean. An important consideration when choosing is access from airports and wether you can get any maintenance required in the yard you choose.

As a US reg boat you will need to have a transit log, and pay the TEPAI cruising tax if you intend to sail. The tax is per Callander month so if you sail into next months you will pay x 2 !

I second this. I have used Aktio and was pleased with the service and price-quality relationship.
