Hi I've got a 34' Tom Colvin designed Saugeen Witch going through a big re-haul. I've got to replace all of the electronics on the boat. So here is my initial setup. Any comments? I messaged one user on here who has used a Renogy inverter, but I am curious if anyone else has had experience with Renogy batteries, solar panels, inverter/charger, and BMS.
reads like a renogy AD
You can get 10% more efficient panels in the same form factor.
I didn't look close, but the shunt is in the wrong place, DC breaker has a negative lead, stagger the leads to the battery (not 'as' necessary with BMS, but best practice).
I don't think it'd be wise to go with renogy. They have some good things, but you might as well spent a bit more for other brands that can output more for same form factor.
Sorry to break it to you, but this definitely falls inline with ad space. Second post from this user...

I just ordered up some similar stuff for my new RV. Four Renogy 100W hard panels and 40 amp Epever MPPtsolar controller. The hard panels have superior life time, and the Epever MPPT is like the Renogy but with bigger and better sockets to connect the panels. I'm still shopping for a 2000W inverter. I inherited 4 good 200amp LifePo4 cells and will DIY a 200 amp BMS from Ebay. May forgo the monitor, depending on how much info I can get out the Epever controller. It will be good to get off the grid again.
