Privilege 465

Any experience with Privilege 465 on this forum? Performance, construction, faults, strengths, etc. I am familar with earlier Privilege designs from the early 90's. It seems that the older boats are holding value better. Sail drive versus shaft???

I have 435, basically a 90% scale model of the 465. 465s and 435s hold their value well, no fundamental problems that I've experienced or heard about other than the standard issue furling gennaker which is more trouble than it is worth. Like most boats they suffer from problems with ancilliary systems such as inverter/charger failures and general electrical peculiarities.

If you are going for a 465 I would say to make sure it is the Easy Cruise version. They have 3 foot extensions to the transoms making them 49ft overall and also most extras that you would want were included as standard... generator, watermaker etc.

A belated thanks for your response. I have experience with 39's, 45's, and 48's from 10 years ago. I just liked the build quality and feel of those Cat's. Have read many of your posts and understand how much you like your 435.
