What exactly do you have in mind, Linda? Orillia is located on two lakes, Couchiching and Simcoe. Couchiching is smaller and very shalow but Simcoe is much greater and deeper. Are you charting a boat? Why Orillia and not Georgian Bay? (closed by)
Take a look at Google Earth and you see what I am talking about.
I sail Lake Simcoe.

Sailing in Orillia Ontario Canada

thanks for answering Georgian Bay would be ideal too Love it there but working at the Mariposa folk fest in the evenings and love sailing Have no idea of the cost Have not sailed on my own merits for many years Went on a sunset sail in Port Elgin last Sept. What do I have in mind just like to go out during the day somewhere close GEorgian Bay ideal if it is not too expensive. Thanks

Hi Linda!

I do not think there is a charter company in Orillia, however you can check Quite Waters Sailboats, Canadian Yacht Charters, Cosmos Yacht Charters, and Discovery Yacht Charters.

Another option would be to visit the waterfront and see what is available there. I am not familiar with the sailing community there. It is hard to visit Orillia from Lake Simcoe due to a very low bridge at the narrows.

Hope this helps you a bit. May I ask what is your involvement with the Mariposa Festival?

Jorge
