Re: What boat is this?

At first I thought it was the aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford, but then I realized that what I mistook for a flightdeck was just a modest solar array. If you buy her, bring a chainsaw so that you can cut her free.

Re: What boat is this?

Looks perfect to me.

Solar up and clear to do solar job efficiently.
I think of modern planes as rocking horses and would take a hobby horse as my preference. Great in weather, protected rudder, and snap reduction on pick tending towards sheer force instead, thus per weight a much smaller chain/rode length/anchor would hold that. Wouldn't dance as ? violently? as a flatter plane because isn't as strong a hull fulcrum as a vertical leading tapered edge as an example this wouldn't have as strong a leverage to work an anchor free or snap chain.

Aft is sensational allowing keel to vary point of slip so although not as strong a hydraulic leverage as a fin keel rudder coordination of steerage, system is not as strong thus really nice in weather.
Looks really nice. Gliding past obstruction rather than confusion during sudden findings of something more solid than air and liquid.
Just needs more wind to do her thing. With wind is wave.

Re: What boat is this?

I can't sleep

My apologies if ranting, I really like that vessels look. I bet ya that guys a sailor and high dinghy davits keep tender clear in seas because she'll heel well.
Heeling increasing waterline, increasing displacement length and just big old plane fun.

Although pitching will occur , I like to compare boats with less rocker with power skiffs to being similar to faster cruisers of less rocker. As energy rolls along the waters surface, wave heights indicate strength of energy. Power skiffs will not cope with as much energy as a rocker and soon at anchor will tug on the rode to try and break free then ride the wave back against the energy , creating much slack thus a further distance to build momentum (acceleration of rode from slack to tension). The planes fulcrum also aids this acceleration because although the swell might be relatively small, the distance from what may as well be the leading edge of a short deep keel if skiff is a sail able skiff makes a very strong torque. Like a stallion attempting to break free.

Yet old girls like this boat, simply wave at the energy in unison with the wave, reduced torque on the anchor rode. She rode well. She rides better.

Underway, racing boats often employ the hydrodynamic nature of skiffs. But they love power. Ain't my cup of tea having to work. With sailboats, power can be a sheet of a job. Whereas old girl likes to glide. Some might enjoy the balance of gliding. Although the conditions might become heavier, she remains light. Spilling excess gusts with her heeling and calmly keeping her point natural in rough seas.
Although hobby horsing, she ain't rocking a stallion.. she looks gentle and growing with gift rather than stall, stall, I on. I on being bang.

Eg. She needs much less power to maintain her point..
And wind grows strength fast.. waves follow suit.
Thus beautiful to glide

Yeah aye, clear as in lumpy conditions.
Plus.. heliport might retain properties such as a dinghy davit roofing system and take most dumps away from dinghy bilge. With dinghy hoisted from port knowing that day/s plot was a starboard tack for argument sake, they'd likely hoist dinghy with stern port to empty when spray did go that way.
Long-term passage they'd probably deck mount to remove a worry of weather.

I think it looks awesome.
With volume of a modern 25 she'd be quite nimble,
she'd be quite quick,
She wouldn't be sailing hulls over mountain crests
Nor on rest on a pick.

I like his/her taste too. Also a fan of fast horses. Is what it is.

Being inside an Alberg 37 is like being inside a toothpaste tube.

LoL

Dads past friend was a shipwright. His cruiser was a converted Dragon extended some and addition of cabin.
As a non modified Dragon, they love the weather but the 1 foot high cockpit combing was all we had been flood and swim. Great as skipper because by time mast deck submergence had lifted with pitch, water run would soak forehand, mainsheet would take rest of that and skipper stayed dry.
With similar keel cut to above, they'd plane on reduced friction although a long keel.
I never boarded his cruiser, always smiling people had though.

Ain't the room but during sail and rest is their comfort. Coordinated leverages.

Nice clean teeth to bite through the lumpy stuff.

Not sure I would agree with you on the lines, I have seen better, however one mans meat etc as they say, but what is that huge carbuncle on the back? looks like it should belong on a giants pushchair

Re: What boat is this?

The arch doesn’t look so bad in person, although it isn’t pretty by any means. I think it would take more weight than that arch to make it hobbyhorse horribly though. I have a smaller arch on my Alberg 35, as well as a 2.5hp outboard, and sometimes 2 folding bikes that are all set on the stern. I’ve been in some pretty rough stuff and the motion wasn’t bad.

Funny how low freeboard and long overhangs gets everybody lusting but not actually buying.

Re: What boat is this?

Not sure why someone would want to ruin a pretty nice boat with that huge solar panel and arch.

But I guess some of these do it yourselfers can't help themselves.

There are folks on here daily with a "better" idea !?
