Ive never seen a 423 priced that high. And I know the 423 owners version very well. I once delivered one from the UK to Germany. It was a 2003, so the boat was five years old and equipped pretty much the same as yours. The boat was in perfect condition. And I think they paid 105 K*… The (smallest possible) watermaker, solar and windgenerator and a rebuild diesel generator cant be worth 64 K in difference.
Do you know how far the UK and Germany are from Fiji, NZ, Australia? Do you know that they use different currencies? Do you know what the concept of different markets are? Do you realize how annoying you appear to those that are informed of boat prices around the world? Do you realize you're being rude?

This is a "for sale" ad, not a discussion. Move on and let me do my thing.

For those not from Fiji, how would one get this properly inspected?

Several options...
1. I just did a quick google: https://www.google.com/search?q=fiji....0.qgQlN5Zdmj4

2. http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...iji-61768.html

3. I'm happy to hop on a video skype call and do a walk through with you

4. You can fly to Fiji!

Where are you based out of?

Nice boat - but as with anything it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Lots of NEW stuff. Fiji is splendid and the seller is right in that vessel location is superb. Cruise location ready...Still, only so many buyers willing to take a gander on a vessel located 000's of miles from typical base. Question for seller - any VAT involved in purchasing a boat in Fiji?

It all depends on where the buyer registers the boat. US, NZ, AUS wouldn't have to pay tax if they register in their country but keep it in Fiji. You can leave it here for 2 years without paying import and after that there are lots of easy options to sail to to renew that time such as Tonga, New Caledonia, nz, Australia, Vanuatu and a few others. The closest place is less than a 2 day sail away!

Re: Beneteau 423 2003 2 cabin 220v French made model fully equipped with EVERYTHING

As indicated I am a buyer, so I am on the look out for my next boat. However there seems to be a lot boats that are not selling. Cat and Mono. I don't mind paying what it is worth, but it is hard to pay someone 350K for a boat that had previously been asking 450k.

If I need sell this boat, next year whats going happen?

I ran into this website about over the top boat pricing.

Interesting article. Thanks for that. I've heard of the "other side" of Yachtworld as well. I hate all the ads Yachtworld has now too. Brutal if you're a live aboard with poor wifi.

This boat hasn't sold because it's in Fiji, so it's catering to a very specific buyer. When I move it to New Zealand or Australia when cyclone season comes to Fiji, it'll sell. I have been compiling a list of contacts who've asked me to reach out when I'm in their country. It's all about being in the right place at the right time, right? Well, for me the right place right now is Fiji, I'm enjoying the boat and although I may have gotten ahead of myself by listing the boat, I wouldn't mind saving myself the sail down to NZ/AUS and handing off the boat in Fiji so I stand by my listing.

The boat is listed at a price that's attractive for NZ/AUS market. The 423 is a very popular boat, particularly with charter companies. It's easy to find 423's in Greece, Italy, Croatia, Turkey, etc. that are 3 cabin instead of the owners 2 cabin which is ideal for a couple cruising, they need heavy maintenance and upgrades (standing rigging is the first thing that comes to mind), are in literally the opposite part of the world where these boats are made and plentiful, anchorages are jam packed and marinas cost more than a night at a hotel. We're all "couchsailors" here and love scanning yachtworld and finding the biggest cheapest boat we can afford, but when it comes down to it, there's always a reason why that boat costs what it does. It's like comparing an ex taxi Toyota Prius to a Toyota Prius owned by a company executive who lives in a city and keeps it in a garage.

So please, stop trolling and open up a new thread on boat pricing if you'd like, but I respectfully ask that you let me and my prospective buyers do my thing on this thread.

Not to worry YOLOSF. I still see a lot of value in your boat with all the improvements you two have made. We are still considering our options. FIJI is a great jump off point.

Could you post some photos of your hydrovane install. I was thinking of this for my 38.

The standing rigging isn't old, it's from 2015 and cost almost as much as the beneteau you speak of because it was done of the highest quality possible, mine is not in Florida, where boats are a dime a dozen, it's in Fiji, cruising paradise where many Australians and Kiwis will appreciate a modern European boat (caviar is cheaper in Russia, Spanish pata negra ham is cheaper in Spain, German cars are cheaper in Germany, etc.). And if you think living on a 36 ft boat is the same as a 43ft, or the safety of crossing an ocean, or the speed you'll get on passage...

Why am I wasting my time replying?

I'll go back to my sunset cruising in Fiji until the right buyer comes along who'll appreciate what I have for sale!
I am amazed that people think the difference between 36' and 43' is nothing!!! The difference is fantastic. Broader beam, greater headroom, more storage, greater speed both sailing and motoring. Yes, you are wasting your time. So am I. LOL
