Boat history : This is hull #3 (built 1974), when the shipyard built them stronger than needed, to gain a good reputation … which they did, as Alubat Ovni's have been proven over the years to be strong and dependable boats. The boat first sailed around Brittany (France) for years then a new owner sailed around the world for 15 years (he did a refit during his voyage and afterwards). The present owner bought the vessel in October 2018 and did a complete refit & outfit as the boat had not sailed for some years.
Now that the vessel is ready to take anyone around the world again, after just sailing in Malaysia and Thailand, the present owner has health problems that forces him to sell this great vessel … a great bargain compared to similar OVNI available online. Small 31' OVNI are quite rare and this vessel is in superior condition to many of the 34' available at much higher prices !
1> The engine is completely revised and has few hours on it !
2> The boat is completely electrically independent with new batteries, inverter, charger 240VAC
3> Electronics have been upgraded to the latest technology (plotter, AIS, …)
So, other than the purchase price, no need to spend more money to go sailing … where you like ! Unlike most other boats for sale, this vessel do NOT need plenty of repairs and equipment upgrades … the present owner did all that during the past year … and believe it that the owner really wish he was younger & in better health so he could sail himself the boat of his dreams to the Med !
Asking price : 63,000 Euros, negotiable for seriously interested party.
Contact for info, questions, photos.
Note : the owner will be available himself until mid March 2020 while he cleans the boat really well before his flight back to France. The boat is hauled out in Rebak Marina with someone looking after the boat and able to show the boat to any interested party...

The boat is in Rebak Marina in Langkawi, very near the airport In Malaysia. Daily cheap flights from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi if you are coming from overseas

Are you asking 80,000 Canadian dollars for the boat?

So this Ovni is fixed keel with a skeg hung rudder? I always thought the Ovni line was swing keel.
Do you know if this is how the boat was ordered or if they didnt start out with swing keels?

The original idea indeed was for the OVNI to be swing keel but since that was a very new concept, the manufacturer decided to build a few boats as fixed keel. So this boat was not an exception but a regular production boat ! Not too many of these indeed and no new ones made...
"au départ les Ovni étaient destinés à être des dériveurs mais comme c’était relativement nouveau ils avaient décidé de fabriquer quelques unités en quillards. Ce n'est donc pas une commande spécifique d'un client mais bien un bateau fabriqué en série par le chantier."
