I have always used Lake Park Harbor Marina when I've stayed in
marinas at WPB. I have found that I prefer to just
anchor out in the lake, south of Peanut Island. With a good
dinghy you can easily run about and get groceries. There is a nice grocery store on Palm Beach near the 1st drawbridge below Peanut Island. There is a nice restaurant and bar at Sailfish Marina (right on the inlet). I'm afraid that this time of year (near peak
hurricane season) you will not find many people at all crossing over to the
Bahamas, except for people in
fishing boats that run 20kts+.
