Nah - I just saw your other thread under "New Posts" this morning.

But you can also search a Member's name once it comes up (in the Mobile view, at least) you can:
"Find all posts by this Member", or
"Find all threads started by this Member"

I sleep with a firefly strobe attached to my ankle. First thing I look at is how to get back on the boat by myself one handed. Remember Natalie Wood ?
Storm or brass cop whistle, knife and light on you all the time. Practice getting in your Gumby and getting someone else hurt or unconscious into their Gumby.
I’m not big on life rafts. Hard dinghy on deck. Let people know when there is any thing wrong right away. Separate battery for radio and AIS. Lightning, fire...you need communications when the regular stuff is toast.
Training not equipment. Sailing isn’t a sport, it’s just survival of the most prepared. We are not marine mammals, just mammals.

In addition, you might want to add a desalinating water maker.

The ditch bag should not be so heavy you have trouble lifting it. If so, put items into two bags.

Anyways, a non-medical kit like the one from https://72hours.ca/collections/emergency-kit includes at least: a folding knife, a multifunction pen, a survival bracelet with compass, whistle, flint, paracord, and scraper. The kit also includes: A screwdriver. A hexagon wrench. A small saw. A flashlight. A thermal blanket. A carabiner. A water-resistant plastic case.
